Policy & Content Compliance

• Determine whether app functionality and content comply with the market submission policy and developer guidelines.
• Check restricted content: violence, sexual content, hate speech, facilitation of illegal activity, and regulated categories such as gambling, alcohol, and tobacco.
• Check that the content rating and age rating are appropriate, comparing the declared rating against the actual content.
• Check for intellectual property infringement and impersonation: unauthorized use of trademarks, logos, or copyrighted works, and impersonation of other brands or institutions.
• Check store listing consistency: verify that the app name, description, icon, screenshots, and promotional video match the actual behavior.
• Check that region-specific legal and regulatory requirements for each distribution market are reflected.

Privacy & Data Handling

• Verify that a privacy policy is provided and that it matches the data actually collected and used.
• Compare the data collection and sharing declared by the app against the data actually transmitted.
• Check the justification for sensitive permissions (location, microphone, camera, contacts) and the disclosure and consent flow.
• Determine whether the requested scope of vehicle data access complies with the data minimization principle.
• Check that a path exists for account creation and deletion and for user data deletion requests.
• Check the additional requirements that apply to apps directed at children and minors.

Vehicle Safety & Driving Restriction

• Verify that the declared app category (parked-only / usable while driving) matches the actual behavior.
• Verify screen blocking, audio suspension, and the inability to resume while driving when the vehicle enters the driving state.
• Check compliance with display restrictions while driving: video, animation, auto-scrolling text, and excessive imagery.
• Check compliance with limits on task depth and on the amount of text presented per screen while driving.
• Check factors that induce driver distraction: notification and pop-up frequency, and the placement and format of advertising.
• Check category-specific functional requirements and appropriate audio channel usage for navigation, media, and similar categories.

Technical & Security Review

• Static package inspection: compare declared manifest permissions against permissions actually used, and check signature, version, and target SDK.
• Check for malicious behavior: undisclosed background execution, dynamic code loading, and undisclosed third-party SDKs.
• Check for use of known vulnerable libraries and for hardcoded credentials.
• Network communication inspection: cleartext transmission, certificate validation bypass, and identification of destination servers.
• Check system impact: CPU, memory, and storage consumption in foreground and background states, and impact on boot time.
• Check compliance with in-app purchase and subscription policy and correct operation of the payment and refund flows.

Functional & Quality Check

• Confirm correct install, launch, update, and uninstall behavior in an actual vehicle or bench environment.
• Measure compliance with responsiveness criteria such as app launch time, control response time, and content loading time.
• Check for crashes, ANRs, and black screens, and capture the corresponding logs.
• Check correct display across multiple displays, resolutions, and language settings.
• Check compatibility of already-published apps after platform updates (OTA) and on newly supported vehicle models.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:

– App market or platform submission review, content moderation, or policy operations

– QA or functional verification of mobile or embedded applications

– Application security assessment or privacy compliance review

• Ability to interpret policy and guideline documents and apply them consistently to individual cases — the core competency for this role.

• Ability to document the basis for a determination together with screenshots, logs, and the applicable policy clause, and to explain a rejection in terms the developer can act on.

• Understanding of the basic structure of an Android application (package composition, permissions, manifest).

• Ability to prioritize a queue of submissions against turnaround deadlines while keeping accuracy consistent across repetitive work.

• Basic English communication skills for review tasks (written & verbal)
 

Preferred Qualifications

• App market and policy operations

– Experience in submission review or policy operations for an app market (Google Play, App Store, ONE store, etc.)

– Experience writing and revising submission policies and guideline documents for developers

– Experience with content rating classification (GRAC, IARC, etc.) or age rating review

– Experience operating a developer inquiry and appeal handling process

• Technical and security review

– Experience with APK / AAB static analysis tools (MobSF, apktool, jadx, etc.)

– Experience in mobile application security assessment or OWASP MASVS-based vulnerability testing

– Experience with network traffic analysis tools (Charles, mitmproxy, Wireshark, etc.)

– Understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, Vietnam personal data protection law, etc.)

• Automotive and platform domain

– Understanding of Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or vehicle infotainment platforms

– Understanding of driver distraction standards (e.g., NHTSA Visual-Manual Driver Distraction Guidelines, ISO 15008)

– Understanding of vehicle data / API permission models and in-vehicle payment services

• General preferred experience

– Script-based verification automation (e.g., Python)

– Experience with review / issue tracking tools (Jira, etc.) and SLA-based workflow operation

– Experience in global collaboration (English-based work)

– Korean language communication (written & verbal) — helpful for reporting review results to the Korea HQ and handling Korean feedback

– Experience in IVI UX/UI verification or automotive software verification
